WRU CODE OF CONDUCT
No game can be played in Wales without a qualified referee. If you want to play or watch, make sure the game has been refereed by:
SUPPORTING THE REFEREES AND TOUCH JUDGES
AVOIDING UNHELPFUL COMMENTS
BEING POSITIVE TOWARDS OFFICIALS
Your Club supports the Welsh rugby union’s stance against abuse of match officials
Help them yourself by avoiding disciplinary action
BE SUPPORTIVE, PLAY THE GAME
THE W.R.U CODE OF CONDUCT
ABUSE OF MATCH OFFICIALS IS DEFINED AS:
Individual; persecution or personal degradation, be it mental or physical, before during and after the match (but not limited to):
VERBAL OR PHYSICAL ASSUALT
INTIMIDATING CONDUCT
RACIAL OR SEXUAL HARRASSMENT
It therefore follows that the W.R.U. will instigate proceedings against any individuals alleged to have:
Abused, threatened or intimidated a referee, touch judge or match official, whether on or off the field of play.
OR
Used crude or abusive language or gestures towards the referee, touch judge or match officials or spectators.
