Dunvant extend their lead at the top of the table with a dominant performance over Drefach CC.

With wall to wall sunshine, the outfield at broadacre was quick and Dunvant chose to bat after winning the toss.

Openers Mike Arnold and Owen Lewis gave some early chances in their first few balls but soon got their eye in and batted with confidence to both reach their 50. A great partnership of over 150 was ended when Owen was bowled for 67. Gareth John batted well but was caught by a great catch for 16. Rob John accelerated the scoring with some top batting including Seven 6s (one of which is still far into the clyne woods!). Mike finally was caught after scoring a season high score of 140 and Rob ended on 85 not out. Support from Cam Tucker and Ryan Howell meant a huge total set of 325.

Drefach managed to bat for 36 overs however some good bowling all round, particularly from Gareth John (11 runs from 6.5 overs with 2 wickets) and Cam Tucker (17 runs from 4 overs, 2 wickets) ended their innings for 114.

With Morriston losing to Ynystawe, Dunvant are now 20 points clear with two games to go. Next game is away to third place Llandarcy before the final game at home to Maesteg Celtic on the 27th August .
