Dunvant Carnival will be held this year on Saturday 2nd July from 1.00p.m. There will be stalls, displays, a Dunvant’s Got Talent Grand Final, Paintballing for over 12's, live music, a hog roast, a tug of war, St.Thomas Irish Dance Group, and a 50/50 prize raffle draw where a major cash prize could be won, and many other events throughout the afternoon.

Program Cover Design Competition
Local primary schools have all been asked to enter into a competition to design the front cover of the Carnival program, this is open to all children, and the winning design will be circulated on over 2000 programs

Dunvant’s Got Talent Competition
In the 2 weeks prior to the competition there is a Dunvant’s Got Talent Competion open to all participants whatever their age, with the best acts going through to the final on carnival day, where they will perform their acts in between the displays
Are you a star of the future,do you have the X factor,
want to make it big,or just show off your talent? The auditions will be held at Dunvant R.F.C. on Sun 19th June at 6.00pm
Four acts will be selected at these auditions to make it through to the final at Dunvant Carnival on Saturday 2nd July. Acts will be performed throughout the day between displays and the winner announced at 5.30p.m. The competition is open to all participants whatever their age.
Entry fee is £2.00 which will include a £1 entry into the 50/50 draw for a large cash prize.

Tug of War
There will be a tug of war competition for both under and over 18's, entrance fee £10 per team, first prize takes half the pot

50/50 Raffle
This year the raffle will be uniquely different with a 50:50 raffle. For every £1 taken, 50p will be added to the prize fund, the winning raffle ticket will take the prize fund, with up to 10,000 raffle tickets available for sale, the prize could amount to up to £5,000. Tickets will be priced £1 each, 6 for £5 and 10 for £8. Tickets will be on sale from 27 May 2011
